Eight decades back The Late Ettungapady Kunjan from his experience in Ayurvedic raw materials pioneered in making ayurvedic medicines in a small room near his home at Kalady, Ernakulam. His vision and mission of sharing astounding power of Ayurveda has now been continued through three generations. His son EK Balachandran took responsibilities of Raw material business at a very young age, travelled across Kerala to know about the availability of best quality drugs & gained so much knowledge on medicinal drugs, their purification process and potency. From all the support from Ek Kunjan and EK Balachandran, as an entrepreneur his grandson & son Mr. Raju E Balachandran has successfully integrated his heritage and knowledge in ayurvedic raw materials & manufacturing without compromising the traditions and values into the modern world as ‘Bodhi ayurveda Pharmacy’. Bodhi ayurveda as a pharmacy is 30-year-old company, started in 1991 with family inheritance of more than 80 years in ayurveda. Bodhi has received Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) from in 2003 for preparation of Ayurvedic Medicines and also received Trademark registration from Chennai in 2009.
